From a very young age Daniel was immersed in the fabric trade, both his father and grandfather had a passion for sourcing and selling beautiful material. In the early years he helped his father on market stalls at weekends, where they sold fabric and made curtains and his passion for interiors grew. He studied Retail and Business at college and got his first full time job working at Next Retail Group where he learnt sales, merchandising and customer care. But it was interiors that he was passionate about and went on to work at Paul Simon which was an up and coming curtain shop at the time.
Daniel helped set up new stores by creating a welcoming and successful shopping environment. Eventually, he left to help his father set up a family business in the 90’s which specialised in window treatments.
In the 20 years he worked and managed there, Daniel was responsible for introducing new products, managing the production of curtains and blinds, surveying and enjoyed meeting new customers and suppliers.
Now with over 25 years experience and knowledge of the trade under his belt, Daniel felt it was time to start `Shutter and Shade`. A fresh new business that focuses on customer care in the comfort of their own home. He feels there is no better way to see how fabric, blinds or shutters will look and feel than in the actual window they will appear in. With this in mind he has spent much time and care sourcing the best quality of products. He endevours to be competitively priced and strives to help his customers choose the right products for their home.
Daniel is enthusiastic for all his products and can’t wait to share his experience and expertise with his customers.
